Dear Brothers,
Assalaamu alaikkum wa Rahmathullaahi wa Barakaathu hu

On Saturday the moon was half and was overhead at Fajr.   On Sunday slight concavity was seen but the horns were not prominent nor distinct.
On Monday (7 Sep 15) the line has caved in well and the horns too were prominent as well as distinct.
The moon attained the shape of a big crescent,  in the Last Quarter,  on Monday. Hence, from the experience we have through regular observation of all the mon-phases, we are sure that the  following Monday  (14 Sep)  will be the 1st of  Zul Hijjah 1436.

Day of Arafat will be on Tuesday (22 Sep) & the Eidul Ad'ha will be on Wednesday  (23 Sep).
If one keeps on watching the moon in coming days one can see the moon becoming thinner and thinner and closer and closer to Eastern horizon, day  by day.

On coming Saturday (12 Sep) one can see moon as "Al urjoon Al qadeem" described in Noble Qur'aan in verse 36:39 as the last visible moon-phase for a month.
On Sunday the waning moon will not be seen anywhere in the world as it is the Day of Conjunction or the last day of Zul Qaidah 1436.   It is also the 30th day of Zul Qaidah.  The first crescent rose in the morning of Saturday (15 August 15) was seen setting on Saturday evening.   Hence, Zul Qaidah started on that Saturday and completes its 30 days on Sunday (13 September)

So, Eidul Ad'ha 1436 is on Wednesday (23 Sep 2015) for all Muslims throughout the world.
All are requested to fast on the correct Day of Arafat (Tuesday 22 Sep) without fail.

May Almighty Allaah forgive all our sins and may HE the Almighty provide all of us with a place in Jannathul Firdouse.  Aameen
Wa salaam
